Fred Again is also in the news after the producer shared a full recording of his Coachella 2023 headline set with Skrillex and Four Tet.
The three superstar DJs took the the “TBA” slot after Blink-182 on the main stage on Sunday, which came after Frank Ocean’s withdrawal from Coachella Weekend 2 following doctor’s orders due to leg fractures sustained by the singer in the lead up to the festival.
Fred Again.. has also just released Secret Life, an ambient album he worked on with his mentor, electronic music pioneer Brian Eno. “When I first worked with Fred, I could see he was brilliant. It’s very clear, he’s a very, very sensitive and good artist and I was very impressed by that,” Eno told Apple Music 1 in an October interview. “But I didn’t really understand a lot of what he was doing. It took me quite a while to think, ‘Oh my gosh, this is really a new idea about how you can make music.’ So I learned a lot from him. So it’s a two-way relationship.”
